This update brings big improvements to how Nova Search finds, organizes, and ranks information, including a brand-new SuperIndexing feature that helps verified sites surface faster and smarter.

⚡ New Feature: SuperIndexing (BETA)

Introducing SuperIndexing, a new system designed to enhance the visibility of verified and deeply indexed websites.

What it does:

• Adds a SuperIndexing service layer that checks and tracks which URLs are fully indexed.

• Uses deep sitemap crawling to improve relevance and accuracy.

• Tracks crawl jobs and page indexing status for better coverage.

How it works:

• SuperIndexed results now get a 1.5x ranking boost across both the Web and All tabs.

• A purple star badge marks SuperIndexed results, with a hover tooltip: “SuperIndexing (Beta)”.

🧭 Nova Tab (Internal Search)

The Nova Tab now supports a unified internal search system across all apps:

• Documents → Nova Editor

• Gists → Nova Gists

• Events → Nova Calendar

• To-Do Lists → Nova Calendar

• Forms → Nova Editor

• Conversations → Astro

This rearchitecture makes in-suite search faster, more reliable, and consistent across your Nova data.

🤖 Astro Overview Fix

• Fixed visibility logic so Astro Overviews display correctly based on the “Show in Search Results” setting (not “Enable Astro AI”).

• Improved internal state handling by separating astroShowInSearch (visibility) from astroEnabled (AI toggle).

🔍 Search Results Improvements

Search results are now smarter, more consistent, and easier to interpret.

Ranking & Scoring:

• Added sortByRelevanceSync() for client-side scoring (no boost).

• Added applySuperIndexingBoost() for server-side scoring with boosts.

• Both Web and All tabs now share the same unified ranking logic.

Display Updates:

• Search results now default to sync scoring for smoother UI performance.

• Added a SuperIndexed badge (purple star) with tooltip information.

• Removed redundant re-sorting on the All tab to preserve SuperIndexing boosts.

• Ensured complete parity with the Web tab’s ranking system.
